My Car Was Booted

The Chattanooga Parking Authority has a 100% compliance goal of parking rules and regulations.  It is not our desire to immobilize/boot vehicles and impose additional fees.

  • Vehicles that have acquired at least three (3) parking citations that have fully escalated and have made no payment arrangements are eligible to be booted.

  •  If your vehicle has been booted and you have any issues making a payment, or need assistance, please call 423-668-0135.  One of our Ambassadors will answer your questions 24 hours a day.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE OR MOVE YOUR VEHICLE WHILE IT IS IMMOBILIZED.

PAY YOUR PARKING FINES AND BOOT FEE

If your vehicle has been booted, you will be required to pay any outstanding parking fees and a boot fee of $75, our call number is 423-668-0135 to pay.  Once you have made payment you will be issued a release code that allows you to unlock the boot and remove it safely from your wheel.

You have 72 hours to pay your parking fees and boot fee from the time it was immobilized.  Failure to do so will result in your vehicle being towed with the vehicle owner being responsible for the additional cost of towing and storage of the vehicle.

Payment Steps:

  1. Call 423-668-0135 to pay your parking fees and boot fee.  A valid credit or debit card is required for payment.

  2. A receipt will be emailed to you with a six-digit boot release code.

  3. Enter the six-digit release code into the keypad on the boot.

  4. The boot will unlock (you should hear a clicking sound).  Once unlocked you can slide the bar free of your wheel and safely remove the boot.

  5. You MUST RETURN the boot in one of the Boot Return Boxes.  Boot Return Boxes are located at the CPA Office 1362 Market Street and the CARTA Northshore Garage 345 Fraizer Avenue.  Place the boot inside the Boot Return box and follow the instructions on the signage/stickers.  If you have any questions or issues, please call 423-668-0135 immediately for assistance.

YOU MUST RETURN the boot within Twenty-Four (24) hours of release or additional fees will be charged.  DO NOT LEAVE the boot anywhere other than a Boot Return Box.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE THE BOOT.  The owner of the booted vehicle will be responsible for any damage or loss of the boot.
